Ok, so I didn't post for a month. I'm a loser! Below is some of the things that we did this last month. We also went shooting 3 times and I am learning how to shoot Joe's really big gun which is so fun. Joe and I got our concealed carry permits so watch out! S had her gymnastics review which she did great. She loves it and that's all that matters. She can now do a back hand spring, back and front walk overs. She is learning how to do a back tuck now. Her long beautiful legs are hard for her to tuck but she'll get it. We went to M0m and Dave's to celebrate their birthdays and see their new puppies. They are little hair balls. Margie and I ran a 5k and had lots of fun in the cold weather but after you're almost finished you finally warm up. We went skiing with Brian and Margie and had a great time. I haven't been for so long and forgot how much I love it. Brian and Margie weren't on their top game because I think the whole weekend they were with each other they had about 8 hours of sleep in four days. So needless to say conversation on the way up and way down was minimal. We loved it though and loved getting to know Margie better which we are totally fond of in every way. Other then those things, Life at the Langston's is pretty normal. Joe does his work and church job and I do my mom job and teach classes. We love you all and hope that February brings much love into your life!!!

Happy New Year!

Well, another year has come and gone. A lot of good things to look back on and many to look forward too. I have so much to be thankful for and I hope this year I can do my best to give back to all of those that have blessed my life. I have many things to check of my list this year and I know I can do it with the support of my family, friends and most importantly my Savior. I hope this new year brings so much happiness and joy to all of you, although each year brings new trials but that is how we achieve our goals. Each new trial makes us stronger and closer to our ultimate eternal goal. May we all embrace life and do our best each day to have positive attitudes and live a Christ-like life each day. I love you and Happy New Year!!

The Week before Christmas

Well, this week was full of stuff everyday. We start on Tues. at K's choir performance. Like always the choir did a great job. Mr. Seegmiller is awesome. All of the early morning Tuesdays and Wednesdays paid off. I just don't know if we can do it for the rest of the year. We'll think about it over the break. On Wednesday was K's last Nutcracker performance (she's way to busy). A lot of people came out that night to support her and she was darling. She saw us from the stage and so we got a lot of cheesy smiles from her throughout the performance. I wasn't supposed to take a picture of her in her dress but I couldn't resist so here you go Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Katie. Joe gave her a Christmas bouquet of flowers with a sparkly Nutcracker for her room. That day it decided to snow in St. George. When the Nutcracker was over it was still snowing and they had cancelled school the next day. Yep, it only takes 1 inch of snow around here to cancel school. Pathetic! I took a picture of our house covered in snow at about 7:15 am when I got home from teaching my class the next morning. It looks pretty covered in white. That whole day the kids were gone playing in the snow making snowmen, forts and sledding down the neighbors hill. They loved it and I loved doing all the laundry when they got back. It was worth it though. Thursday night Joe and I had the single sister dinner hosted by the Bishop and Family. It was great. The food Jordon made was so yummy and my kids entertainment was as good as it gets. The home we had it at was beautiful, thanks to Aunt Brenda, and now it's over until next year! Friday we took Netta out for her Christmas dinner from Exsell Realty. That is always fun. Red Lobster and good company, what else could go wrong. On Saturday we took the kids to Pirate Island Pizza and then headed to Tuacahn for Eli's Dance program. He was the cutest thing ever. He loves to dance and it shows. He had a smile on his face and totally took control of the stage. He will be a natural! Afterwards, we always see Santa at Tuacahn and then saw all the pretty lights. That ended this weeks of fun and so begins the next. We get to eat dinner with our dearest friends the Wilson's and then eat dinner at Grandma Mac's and make sugar cookies tomorrow. Lots of fun to be had this next week so I will post of course after the big day and show off all of Santa's surprises!! Love you all and Merry Christmas!

December Activities

Ok, here is last weeks activities. We did a couple more things then whats below but they were not documented by camera. We started out our week with our annual neighborhood party. I love our neighborhood tradition. We decided four years ago to not give each other gifts or treats and instead have a party and donate to two families. We have a potluck soup dinner with hot chocolate and treats. We always have a crackling fire to keep warm and then we end the night caroling on a hayride through the other neighborhoods. We always have such a good time and we love being together and by knowing that two families will not go without during Christmas makes it even better. After that, Joe of course spent Tuesday night doing tithing settlement and I attended the relief society Christmas dinner. It was great and I love sitting at the table with my dearest friends. On Wednesday I was lucky enough to spend the whole day (and I really mean the whole day / 13 hours straight) setting up the children's room for the Nativity Festival that our Stake puts on each year. It is a major thing but it is and was so worth it. It was amazing to see it all come together. The spirit was so strong and it really does open the Christmas season to Christ. On Thursday Joe and I went to my work party at the gym and rocked out to a live band. We had a good time but not a lot of people stayed due to the fact that 5 am comes early for some of us that work at the gym. On Friday night K and I had a night out. Joe was on his way to Salt Lake to SS's baptism that was on Saturday and K and I had to stay behind because of Saturday. K and I went out to dinner and ice cream and went to the Nativity Festival. On Saturday we cleaned up the house and then went and saw Bolt. That is a good show. That evening K performed in her first performance of The Nutcracker. She was awesome. She is a party girl through the whole first scene. She looked so cute up there on the stage. A lot of hard work and a lot of practicing went into it and she was great!! We stayed in on Sunday and decorated our gingerbread house and then on Monday we headed to the Temple to see the lights. When we got there, there was no lights. Yea, do you really want to know why they turned them off, because of the snow or should I say sleet. It has been snowing all day but none of it has stuck on the ground so people are going all crazy because of it. They don't know what to do when they see white stuff falling from the sky. So we went into the visitor center and saw the Christis, two movies and called it good. We finished off the night eating ice cream and drinking hot chocolate. Oh, I also got to eat lunch with my four bestest friends today and I loved that. I love the holidays. I love giving gifts. I love seeing the lights (when it is not snowing). I love seeing my friends and family. I love seeing my kids recitals. I love everything about Christmas especially my Savior. I love feeling his love for me and my family. He is the Reason for this special Season. I love you all!!

O Christmas Tree

We didn't have a chance to go cut down our own tree this year so we headed off to the tree lots to find the right tree. I must say I am kind of picky when it comes to the tree, so I found the Langston tree (with the help of the kids) and Joe did the negotiating on the price. He did good, because I like the 10ft tree that costs some but Joe was able to get it $20 bucks cheaper. It took a couple of days to decorate it, in between the busy schedule, but it finally adorns our living room and brings the spirit of Christmas (and smells good) into our home. Happy Holidays!!

Mike Langston / Tribute

September 27th 2006 - December 5th 2008

Our loved dog Mike had to go back to heaven today. After several months of not doing so well we let him go today. We are pretty sure that he had cancer and would not get better. Our whole family is sadden by this. Mike was the sweetest dog around. He loved everyone and would not hurt a flee. We always said he was not a true mastiff due to the fact that he loves to run and play all the time. He loved being inside with the family, although I have many slobber spots to clean up, he loved to sleep on Eli's bed. He always wanted to be loved by Joe every night. He would come up to my side of the bed and then turn right around and go over to Joe's side for a good rub down. He always kept my washing machine running. I had lots of slobber rags and sheets to clean. We will all miss him and he will be with us always in our heart. We love you Mike!!

December Begins

Thanksgiving is over and now starts December. My family had an awesome time over Thanksgiving. My whole family came down south so after 26 people and 4 days I finally caught a cold. I think it was due to the fact that I spent 2 weeks cleaning before. Then I didn't take my vitamins due to the lack of time to remember and lastly I ate like food was going to stop coming into my house after everyone left. We had a fabulous time though. The boys played football in the morning and then we all met at my house for a family prayer and then we went to Chuck A Rama for dinner. Yes, I did not cook for the whole family and yes I had no dishes to clean up either. We waited in line for about 1 hour and then we all sat together like we would if we were at my house and the food was actually really good. We did have dessert at my house later but again Costco provided the pies for that. So Thanksgiving itself was pretty relaxing for me and hopefully for my family as well. We broke into two groups and some of us went to Quatum of Solace late that night and the next night the others went to Twilight. On Friday I got to teach Zumba in the morning which is fun when you have two pieces of pie in your stomach still from the night before, not so much. Then all the couples went to the temple to finish up my moms family names that I researched a few years back. I was waiting for the right time when all of us were together so we could all go and do the sealings at the same time. It was a great experience. We spent the afternoon on the red rock cliffs playing around and let the kids roam free. We took family pictures that night which are always a joy, but actually it went pretty smoothly I must say. Saturday was our big 4 wheeling trip. Joe and I rounded up some extra 4 wheelers to go along with ours so all of our family could go on a big ride. We leave the trucks behind and don't come back for about 5-6 hours. We packed lunch on the wheelers and went for the mail drop which is down by the Pink Coral Sand Dunes but on the opposite side. I pretty sure fun was had by all on the trip. We ended the day by eating at Denny's (why you ask, well kids eat free of course) and the celebrating two of my nephew's birthday's. So that ended or adventures except for church the next day and relaxing. I had to send my sister home to Mississippi and that always makes me sad to see her leave. I love her to death and I am grateful that I got to see her for 6 days but sad also because I know I won't get to see her for sometime. So my family all leaves and I have a cold know and my kids want the house decorated yesterday for Christmas. I sucked it up and put it all up today minus the 2 trees. I will get to them on Thursday after the fresh one has been picked out. I do not have any pictures of Thanksgiving until my sister emails them to me so they will be added later. Keep checking back for pictures of our December adventures, maybe, I will try my best to keep updated but already the next three weeks are completely booked. Life in the Langston house is busy when you have four kids performing everywhere and the family of the Bishop. Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas and I love you all!!

Tri #9

Swim - I have to say they kept the pool a little warm to compete in, since it felt like my bath water. It slowed me down a little but I still swam it in 8 minutes.

Bike - The temp. was cold (41) especially when your wet but I braved it out and biked my 10 miles in 32 minutes.

Run - This is my worst event and after my legs warmed up after being frozen from my biking I managed to run the 5k portion in 28 minutes.

Finish - Joe and K were my only takers on supporting me this time, I think it was due to the cold temps at 7:45 am. They cheered my on and kept me going. I love my cheerleaders!!

Good Friends - Shannon on the right is my faithful workout partner. She keeps me going at 6 am every morning. She did great in the Beginning Tri. She took 4th. Shaunna on the left has been my tri partner for the last couple of years. I am glad to have her back now that the marathon is over. She took 9th and didn't even train, well besides running a marathon in Oct. I took 4th finishing in 1 hr. 18 min. and was happy about that. I could have done better so next time which won't be until April. Triathlons are the best!

1. I am truly an ice cream lover. I could eat it all day long so that is why I choose not to buy it or I really would be 200 lbs.

2. The wind really bothers me. It always makes me feel creepy.

3. I admit that I am an exercise junkie. Although, if someone weren't paying me and I didn't have a faithful exercise partner then I most likely would only get to the gym 3 days a week.

4. I like to do triathlons and recently 5k's and I don't really care about winning but when you do it feels really good!!

5. I would really like to go to hair school but the timing will probably never be right.

New Hair

Ok, for those of you that now me well I am always doing something different with my hair or the color at least so this time I went the shortest I have ever been. Scary but I think I like it. I don't really want to put a picture of just me on the blog so you will have to visualize what it looks like. I dyed back to the dark redish brown and then have it cut in a A-line. They actually had to use the buzzers on the back of my neck, weird! Joe says he likes it but he is my husband and said that he likes me so it really doesn't matter what it looks like. Mom likes it so that is a bonus cause she wasn't sure at first the last time I dyed my hair dark and my kids think it is cool, so I'm good with it. S wants her hair like mine now. It is pretty fun when your daughter wants to start looking the way you do. I guess that means I still look pretty cool to her, in her eyes. Any way I will post our new family pics in larger form soon so you can see them a little better. Love you all!

Here is our Halloween pictures. We have a variety of costumes this year for your enjoyment. Thanks to Kim and I, S has a princess peach costume. That was not an easy make so I told K and G that they get to be princess peach as well when the costume fits. The kids are going to have a great time trick or treating this year. They haven't even been yet and they already have tons of candy, go figure. Joe and I take all their candy and let them pick some favorites and then we only keep 1/4 of it and then take the rest to the bishop's office to replenish the treat box for the kids for after church. Our kids aren't to fond of it but its better then cavity's and self induced diabetes. Well we hope everyone is having a great Halloween and we can't wait to see everyone again for Thanksgiving in Sunny St. George. Love you all!

Busy, Busy, way to Busy!

Ok, no pictures this time but it has been awhile so I will update you on our busy family life. We have been so busy the last 3 weeks, its insane! We have done a lot of family stuff which is good but we have also done a lot of work and church stuff. In my field of work, apparently a lot of people needed to take off so I have taught 9 extra classes on top of mine so that's been fun. It makes my weekend exciting when I am totally worn out from 12 hours of exercise in 5 days. I know Marti I am mentally sick. I know your thinking it!! I sometimes (very little) think it too. Joe has been very busy in work and church. So we get to see him not so much anymore. I guess that comes with the calling. My kids have been busy with Nutcracker, piano recitals, extra Halloween parties, church parties, primary program, 4-wheeling and their home chores. Well not so much the chores because no matter how many times I show them how to clean they just don't get it. Anyway, we have been busy, so I need to apologize to my good friends that I don't get to see as much because of our crazy lives. Thanks to everyone for your support and love and I will update with scary Halloween pics at the end of the week!! Love you all

Birthday Fun

Happy Belated 2nd Birthday Mike!

This is our Huge Dog Mike. He is an English Mastiff and he is a pain in the butt but we still like him. He has ruined our yard, which we are in the process of taking it back from him, and has chewed up many shoes from various different households around my neighborhood. He weighs 160 lbs and has about 30 to 50 more to go. So he his a lot of fun!! He finally got his present. He loves his bones but it will be gone in two days.

Tooth Fairy Visiting

E had his first tooth fairy visiting but not by his choice. The tooth that was damaged 4 years ago when he so gracefully tripped and fell right into the corner of the park bench, finally had to come out on Wednesday. I think the root was longer then the tooth. He didn't feel much since he was drugged with nitrous gas which by the way needs to get piped into my house some how so I can use it on a regular basis. They are so nice and calm when they are drugged up. I think I need it mostly for S who is definitely entering her pre-teen years, heaven help me for the next 7 years of hormonal emotions. Anyway, I think this is probably what E would have liked his tooth fairy to look like but his name was Elmer and he is from Chicago. He was still excited but if you know E then a pretty girl fairy would have been top on his list. So, 2 bucks later and plus the money spent to get the tooth ripped out it was an expensive little tooth that is finally no longer in his mouth.

Day Dreaming

Ok, as I sat in my house for the past two days listening intently to some great speakers, I decided that I miss the beach and need to go. I probably won't go since I have been this year but once you have gone you wish you could go there about every other week. Once a year is not good enough. I don't do well being cooped up in my house so next time conference comes around we will be doing what we normally do, camping!! K's nutcracker practise and the rain kept us home bound but not next time. Since Joe is bishop now, then I guess I will look forward to having him home on 2 Sunday's a year. I really enjoyed the talks and I always come away not feeling like I am doing what I should be doing but hey I guess that is what it is for. So for the next six months I will try harder to be better. We had our family pictures taken and as soon as I decide which ones to post I will do so. Happy Days until next time!

Memphis Baby!

I got to go spend 5 days with my sister in Mississippi - Tenessee. We has such a good time. We spent 2 days touring around Memphis and learning all about Elvis Presley. I had no idea how much that guy made and still makes. We spent one day at Graceland, Sun Studio, Mississippi River and Beale Street. Memphis is definately the Heart of the Blues. Beale Street was so fun to walk around and hear all the live music going on in the background. We ate good ole southren ribs and a rib joint in the middle of an alley downtown. They were fabulous and yes I did eat a whole rack of ribs! Sun Studio was really cool to see and tour. The studio is were Elvis came in and made his first no.1 record in 1956. One year later he had already made his first million dollars. Jerry Lee Lewis, BB King, Johnny Cash and a lot of other famous singers from that era started out in Sun Studios. The 2nd day of touring was the Civil Rights Museum. They turned the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated into the museum. It was a pretty solemn place to be. It makes you wonder how humans can be so cruel to other humans and the sad part about it was it didn't happen to long ago. We also saw a little more of downtown Memphis and finished the day off with some shopping. You can't go on vacation and not shop especially when you are with your sister and no kids. I was fed each night by Sergio's mother who is Brazilian and she makes great food. I also topped it off each night with some ice cream, popcorn and late night movies. I did get some exercise in so I think it may have canceled out the ice cream but who cares, I was on vacation!! Love you Stacy for showing me Memphis and making me laugh to tears!

A New Chapter

Well, since last time, Brian did not get to come into town so I have no pics of our adventures but maybe next time. Not a lot has gone on differently in our lives. The days are the same and the kids are still doing all the dun things they get to do. The one thing that has changed is Joe's church calling. He was released as 2nd counselor of the bishopric and recalled as the bishop. Isn't that exciting news or is it. I can't believe it. So I think I will be pretty busy over the next however many years. I am proud of Joe and the man that he is and I am excited to take this journey with him!!

I am flying to Memphis to spend the next five days with Stacy so I will have many pics to show when I get home!! I love all of you and thanks for the support.

After Labor Day!

Well, a lot has taken place over the last few weeks. The kids are back in school and I think we finally got all of there schedules down. S has decided to stop taking dance for now and try gymnastics. She had her first class last week and she loved it. She is also doing very well at her violin lessons. K tried out for the Nutcracker and made it. She is going to be a Party Girl. So, she is actively doing her dance classes and taking piano. She has her recital in October and she already has her piece memorized. E started taking piano lessons and he is a little frustrated but hey he just started. He also started taking Hip Hop classes. I have never seen a bigger smile on a kids face then E's when he gets picked up from Hip Hop. He absolutely loves it!! Last but not least by any means, G started preschool today. Her exact words to Joe and I when we picked her up was, "Mom, Dad I love school. It was awesome!" Now if we can only get her to say that for the next 12 years. She gets to be in a preschool where they teach ballet, tap, violin, music and karate. They also get them ready for 1st grade. Yes, they pass right over kindergarten ready and go straight for 1st grade. So we will see how bored she is next year once she gets to kindergarten.

Last weekend over labor day was not so laborish. Joe and I were asked by the Christensen's to hike the Subway. It was so much fun! It is a 9.5 mile hike in the back country. You have to repel down ledges and swim through really cold water but the scenery was worth every cold shiver. The pics below will only give you a peek at how beautiful it was. Dad, your going on it next year so get yourself ready!! We spent labor day at the lake. Although not on the boat because it was way to windy, we spent it on the beach and rocks. We had a great time with the Wilson's swimming and exploring the rock caverns.

We are excited to spend a weekend with uncle Brian, so I will update next week with pics from our fun and exciting adventures with uncle bri.

End of Summer Fun

Marti and I had a blast taking the girls and boys to 4-H camp on Beaver Mtn. After Marti and I put up all the tents I think we finally got to bed around midnight. The kids played with there counselors and had a great time. They get to do hunts, canoeing, games, and the best part of all is the dance. All the girls and boys dance with each other and it is so much fun. Marti and I got an award for the best 2 dancers on the dance floor!! It's all that Zumba! We pack them up and then stop at the Cheese Factory in Beaver for ice cream and squeaky cheese for the ride home.
Once we got home from 4-H camp we hurried and took the Young Women to the lake for some crazy tube rides. They love me as camp director but I think it is just because I take them for a post camp activity on the lake. Whatever it is I love the young women!!
Stacy flew into Las Vegas that same night and Joe was such a darling and went and picked her up and they got home at 2 am. I was so excited to have her in town. Although it was for the funeral of our Grandpa Sanderson who was 87. He was such a good man and we will miss his hugs and the love he showed all of us. So, me and Stacy played for the next 2 days and then we packed up and drove the family to SLC. We stayed at Gregg's house and the kids always love being there. I think it is because Aunt Noelle always has her candy jars full of yummy treats in the movie room! We spent the majority of Aug. 2nd at the funeral. It was great though because we got to see all of our cousins and family. That night we celebrated K's b-day. She turned nine years old. She wasn't to happy about spending her birthday at a funeral but she had a good spirit about it and I think she was good after we had everyone over for ice cream sundae's and presents. When we got back home to St. George and had another family birthday at Aunt Brenda's. She couldn't wait for that. She loves swimming at Brenda's. We had yummy tacos, margarita's and cake. You couldn't ask for a better birthday than that.
Stacy flew home Tuesday morning, boo hoo, we will miss her and her funny personality. The Saturday before school started we went to the lake with the family and spent most of the day there. I finally jumped the wake without crashing so that made my day. We all went home tired and sore from all the wake boarding, tubing, wake surfing and diving.
The girls got to enter all of their projects that they worked on in 4-H at the County Fair and they both came away decorated girls. S got 6 blue and 1 red ribbon and 5 of her projects are state qualified through the 4-H program. She earned $28 dollars for all her hard work. K got 3 blue and 2 red ribbons for her projects. She gets to send her pillow to the state fair as well. She earned $21 dollars for all her long hours of work. I was really proud of them and what they accomplished this summer!
We spent the next 2 days cleaning the house and getting the kids closets ready for their new school clothes and today we said goodbye to them as they headed off to another year of school!!

The Month of July

Ok, here is the other stuff that we did in July. We were able to have S with us for 2 weeks and we had a great time with him. He is a great kid. We went boating and all the kids went wake boarding. They are getting so good at it. S and E even tried and they seemed to like it. We went to the Virgin River for family night and had a ball. I think Mike liked it best of all. He ran and ran an played as much as his huge body would let him. We stopped for root beer floats on the way home. We spent the Fourth of July on Beaver Mtn. The weather was perfect and we loved trying out our new tent. It worked great and we are grateful to have it just in case the need arises. Grandpa and Grandma can to join us and the kids always love it when they come. They get much attention from them and they soak up every minute they can. Although, grandma realized that I have a little cheater on my hands. G loves playing slap jack but for some reason it turns into slapping anything and so she wins each time. Grandma Katie was a great game player for G. We relaxed in the mountains and didn't think of much except how fun it is to spend time with family in the great outdoors. On the 24th of July we decided to give our kids a pioneer experience. Joe's 4th Great Grand mother is Ellen (Nellie) Pucell Unthank. They have a bronze statue of her when she was ten years old on the campus of SUU in Cedar City. We drove up there and told our kids of the story of Ellen and how she was such a good example of perseverance and strength. You can read her story here, it's worth reading,

We always have a good time at the Blake's because of their great hospitality and love and support that they always give. I have been reading a book, which is great, and it says that the most important room in the house is your back yard. You can make so many memories there and so Joe and I decided to re claim our back yard from Mike. We sold our wave runners this month, boo-hoo, but it has given us a little extra in the failing economy so we took a little of that stash and are re-making the back yard into a family bliss. We took the kids to Home Depot and bought wood and materials to build Mike a dog house. It was a lot of fun. The kids helped with nailing and screwing and Joe did all the carpentry work. It took all day but the kids were so excited about the finished project. Next, on the list is a fence to make a good size dog run with shade and then re-due the grass and fix the tramp. Mike may not be to fond of this idea but he'll have to learn to live with it. I will keep you updated about the backyard and maybe show pics. This next week is the last of July and I get to take my girls to 4-H camp. I will update on that next week. I hope all is going well with everyone else and enjoy the pics. Love you all!

My sister Vanessa wanted someone to go to the concert with her and I was happy to take her. We had a great time and the concert was fabulous. All of the top ten did a great job but my vote was that Michael Johns was the best! The 2 David's did a great job was well and I love David Cook's version of "Billie Jean". Lots of stuff has gone on since my last posting. First I competed in the Summer Games Triathlon. I did not train for the swimming and running and I really did not want to do it but I did and I got my best time ever. I finished in 1 hr 36 min. Yea! I got seventh in my age group and 20th over all. So next time I will train and maybe I will get a medal (maybe). The Tri was on G's birthday so when I got home fun was to be had. We went to Denny's (G's favorite and luckily kids eat free on Sat.) and then we went to Brenda's and had a family birthday party. Aunt Brenda made G the prettiest Cinderella cake ever!!

Then on Monday we had her friend birthday and of course it was a princess party. We made crowns and then played princess games and had cupcakes but the Cinderella cake was the talk of the town. We even had real princesses show up for games and pictures.

In between the parties of course it was Father's Day. The kids had a good time putting Joe on a treasure hunt after church to find all his goodies. At the end, he found his new phone that finally puts him back into the new information age! We spent the rest of the day with dad and Grandpa Lynn. Joe is an amazing husband and dad. He does everything right! He makes the family whole and everyone he comes in contact with remembers him in a Christ like manner. We are so proud of him in all he does and we love him with all our hearts!!

In the midst of all the others things I got to plan Girl's Camp 08. This is my 8th year going and I don't see it ending any time soon. I love it though. I have a deep love for the young women in our ward and enjoy being their leader and friend. The ward clerks made sure this year that I knew that I am one of two of the biggest budget spenders. So I told them to release me. T don't think it will happen so when camp comes around next year I will spend away making sure the girl's are feed well both temporally and spiritually! Beautifully Created Rock Solid was our theme and K2 was our given mountain. I built a huge mountain and put all of the girls pictures on the mountain. Thanks to Malea we got the award for the best modeling pictures / decorations. I had a wonderful time and I always grow so much at camp and learn so much from the girl's. Till next year!

June has been a busy month and now that I am done my summer begins!! I am cleaning house and enjoying my kids while they are home.

Here is some pics of the kids on our weekend with the cousins. We went on a hike to the lava caves and then had a hot dog roast at the campground when we got home. We took them to squanto's cave the day before and I forgot my camera but we had a good time. It was cold and rainy though which is really odd for this time of year in St. George. All in all we had a good time with Gregg, Noelle and the kids.

Here is the girls recitals. G's is first and she is the fourth one in from the end on the right side. She was so excited to get flowers at the end from her daddy.

S's is on the end most of the time. She did a great job!

K's is the best tapper in her group. Look for the smallest one by about a foot! She's awesome!

Ok, I hurt all over! I decided to wash my outside windows today so I could save some money to buy my girls a new swimsuit. I was doing pretty good until the last window besides my basement ones. We have those grates that cover our window wells and you have to set the ladder on them just so. Well I climbed up and started to clean and Gracy rode by on her bike so I leaned over to yell her name and came tumbling down and fell flat on top of the grate. OUCH!! I didn't cry though so that's good. I laid there for a little bit and let my body stop shaking and then sat up to feel if I broke my ribs or to see if I popped a water sack that was implanted a couple of years ago. Luckily I was ok but man if you could see the bruises they are ugly!! That was my good day so far so I hope it goes better! I took 4 advil so I think I will be able to walk again! Love you all!

Yesterday was Joe's birthday!! Here is us singing to him. We aren't so good but oh well. He was given some money, gift card, a watercolor picture of an elk, and a Wii. We had a bb-q at Brenda's house and went swimming. I think he had a good time if not he missed a good chance.

This weekend was fun and not so fun. Friday I got to take the activity day girls to get their picture taken for mother's day and snow cones. I also went to dinner a Samari 21 with Jennifer and TK which was really fun. Then all the girls went to a late movie. Karman, Malea, Marti, Jennifer, TK and Jana went with me and we saw Mae of Honor. It was a great chick flick and it had Mr. Dreamy in it so, it was a great show. Saturday was fun as well. I spent the morning at the What women want Conference advertising for our Zumba class. A lot of people were interested in it so hopefully we have a good turn out on Wednesday. After that I bummed around the conference with my girls, Karman and Emily. They got their hair done, glitter, eye candy and lunch. We had a great time. When we got home we got to see Joe since he was gone fishing for 2 days in Lake Powell (he caught 5 fish). We took thekids to Denny's for dinner. Why you ask, kids eat free on Saturday! When we got home I started not feeling well and ever since then I have been in bed. The only reason why I am up doing this is so I don't get bed sores for heavens sake. I need to be done feeling sick because I have a big week ahead of me so I'll post again soon!!

Our zumba class is almost ready! We finally got or marketing stuff taken care of!! We will have flyers and cards at the What Women Want Expo this weekend at the Dixie Center at the Southwest Dance Center booth. I have also set up a group email for all those zumba lovers out there. I am also setting up a zumba blog for all to enjoy. It will have highlights from each of our classes and keep you upto date on all our zumba stuff happening. Thanks to all that have supported so far and Zumba Rocks!!
